The Figg Tree Foundation was founded in August of 2002 for Tammy and Bryan Figg of St. Peters, MO. In July of 2002, six weeks before her September wedding, Tammy Figg at the young age of 27 was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer. What should have been the time of her life ended up being very difficult. Information about Colorectal Cancer in younger adults is not available due to the disease generally affecting adults after the age of 50. The foundation was originally created to support the couple through this disease, but since early 2003, FTF’s primary missions have been about concentrating on giving back to hospitals, helping patients financial burdens through our grant program, and educating the community and those that have been diagnosed about prevention and new screening methods about this silent disease.
